Renilde Duif studied music education and recorder at the Conservatory of Tilburg.
In 1991 she received composition lessons from Kees Schoonebeek. She composes for vocal and instrumental ensembles, (also larger works like Requiem and Mary Magdalene Passion) and she composes for choirs, solo singing and piano. She wrote two songbooks and a 17 party edition of recorder music (compositions and arrangements).
Currently she is working on a large composition about the genesis of the earth.
