Maarten Van Ingelgem

Maarten Van Ingelgem studied at the conservatories of Brussels (piano) and Antwerp (composition). He works as a piano teacher, conducts the mixed chamber choir for contemporary music The Second Breath and is one of the bass singers of Aquarius. He was awarded the Contemporary Music Prize of the East-Flemish Province for his piano concerto, the European Award for Choral Composers for his composition 1914 and Sabam (the Belgian Author Society) honored him with the Golden Poppy for his choral oeuvre.
