Born August 4, 1932 in Den Haag, Holland
After secundary education and the Governement Pilot School he flew as a captain for KLM.
His piano-education was done by Minka van Aken, Willem Andriessen and Jaap Spaanderman.
When he had to make the difficult choise between a life as a concert-pianist or as a pilot, he choose the last-named.
As a composer he is self-educated.
